The James R. Stewart Memorial award is given annually to a PMEA member who has gone above and beyond in his/her service to PMEA. The award was established in 1999 in honor of PMEA Past President Jim Stewart, the only president who has served two terms (1974-1976 and 1990-1992). Jim passed away on Sept. 24, 2013.


Criteria may include length of service at the district and/or state level, multiple PMEA offices, NAfME Eastern Division and/or National Office. Any member of PMEA may submit a nomination for this award.
The selected nominee will be recognized during the 2023 PMEA Annual Conference (April 20-22 at Kalahari Resort & Conference Center) as well as in a virtual presentation, which will take place in May.
